e-Tourist Visa

India e-Visa

Do I need an Indian e-Visa?
Yes for 174 nationalities — and the price depends on both.

The 30-day e-Tourist visa is seasonally priced, which almost nobody mentions, and the longer validities are charged at flat rates.

Fees also vary sharply by nationality, so a figure quoted without naming a passport is not a figure you can plan against.

Checked against the issuing government's own pages on 14 August 2026.

What's wrong out there

Figures that circulate widely and are not supported by the official pages.

Commonly got wrongFees vary sharply by nationality — British passport holders pay US$484 for the five-year, Americans US$160, and 22 nationalities pay nothing. There is also no such thing as an express or emergency e-visa; the government says so explicitly.

How these figures are checked →

How this is checked

Every figure comes from a primary government source — the regulation, the statutory instrument, the immigration department's own page — and carries the date it was read. Commercial visa agencies are never used as a source; several appear above as examples of stale data.

Where a government hasn't published something, the field is left blank and says so. A blank is honest. A confident wrong number is what this site exists to correct.

Entry rules change without notice and the final decision always rests with a border officer. Check the official link before you travel. This is not immigration advice.
